It's been coming along! I re-seeded the patchy spots over the weekend... so it will be full and compact by another week! BUT... I am going to hate having to start mowing it again! HAHA

Day 7

Over night it just started to spring up!!! Yesterday there was not even a HINT of grass and then this morning I went out to water it and some of the lil guys are over an inch out of the ground! Amazing! =)

Old Images Lost Feelings

I wanted to add a few old images I shot earlier in the year. They are just some shots that I never posted. I think that I am hoping to inspire myself... I have just not really been in the mood to do any artwork or even shoot... I have WANTED to shoot.... but I just don't have the heart to go thru with it... Like I think that with everything that I have gone thru... I have just kinda lost my passion.... I have had a bunch of ideas I have wanted to try and shoot... and I LOVE the ideas! But then... ??? I just can't seem to bring myself to go thru with doing them.... I don't really have any desire to do any artwork anymore... I think that with the death of my dad... ??? I don't know... just something in me is lost... This year has just been filled with so much loss ... and then each month seems to just continue to take more from me... ... I don't really know what to think... ... and as far as artwork/ photography.... I think that I need a muse....

Shark Attack?

Back in Nov. and Dec. I had been looking for this one location that I have seen in photos but can't seem to find along the coast. -- So last month I just needed to kinda get away and get out. I decided to go site hunting and while I was at the beach I came along these remains... It was so weird! I never see this kinda stuff on the shores. So I just had to take pics of it! =)

Day 4

Well, in putting our house up for sale one problem about our house is that the backyard has no grass... we had it at one time but then because of our big dogs it just kept dying and then was easier to maintain just as a big patch of dirt. While talking about it to a friend he asked why I didn't plant seeds and wait for grass to grow?? And... I just had never considered it... Since we always just see people ROLL in the grass or place in big square "already grown" grass chunks. So last week I bought some seed for ONLY 6 bucks! Spent a few days turning over the dirt and getting it kinda ready... and then 5 days ago I planted the seeds! So it says 7 to 14 days we'd have grass.... I can't wait! I keep looking for ANY HINT of it... but nothing yet! =)

Cyanotype Print

I haven't had much time to work on artwork - been busy prepping the ground to plant grass in the back yard and dealing with a bunch of other things in life... I actually have had very little desire recently to do any more artwork or photography. But here and there I have taken a few hours to do some cyanotypes. Here is one that I recently did.

Falling Out

Well, for those of you that I've worked with, I wanted to let everyone know that over this past weekend I had a lil falling out with one of the group leaders in both of the curating groups: Image Spaces and Group Show. It has since smoothed over, but because of the way that I see things different then them I will no longer be associated with either of the groups. I wish them well in all their endeavors! And welcome contact from anyone in the group/ hold no ill will to any of you. Thanks!

Happily, I am still working with some great curators with the Ars Variare group. And I am sure that they would welcome any of the others curators to join in with any of our projects!
