This is a shot that I took yesterday - I love it. Other then my logos and it being resized no other alteration was done to this image - not even color corrections. Yesterday I had just such an enlightened day -- I found all these photographers and their images that I just love - totally inspirational! Much of the work is very much the type that I have liked but then to see it all it kinda inspires me to DO much of what I have been wanting to do and gives me a lil bit of direction to help guide aspects that I like. I also was facing a problem with a few of the art work pieces I have been working on... so I had to put them on hold until I can find a solution that would work the best for them... and it has been a few months but... I FIGURED IT OUT! So it was all just very exciting!

Reworking Polaroid (Fuji 100c) Negative

I scanned in the negative and then tried to make it into a positive and rework it in PS. It didn't work the way I had hoped. I still plan on using the negative to print with either and enlarger or as a contact print. -- Maybe even a cyanotype...

But... I did continue to play with the negative and came up with this painterly kinda look and feel .... I think that I kinda like it... I just am not sure that I can really duplicate it??? I'll have to shoot some more and then see... Here are a few different versions of what I did....

Recent Artwork

I have been juggling a bunch of stuff - so I haven't had much time to post some of the art I have been working on over summer. Hopefully I will be able to squeeze in a lil bit more time to shoot and work on artwork! Here are two of the last pieces I did from the shoot with Anna B.

Underwater Test Shots

I decided to finally do the test shots -- VERY EXCITING! -- buttttt the only thing is when I got out of the pool (the second test) I noticed that there was a few drops of water that had leaked... =/

When I read about the return policy it said that it was covered UNTIL you put it in water!!! - What the heck?! hahaha Anyway I think that it will be ok - at least for a while... I want to do some modeled shots... But at this rate... I just have no time! But keep an eye out for them... Hopefully before the end of summer!

2cd Pinhole Camera Shoot

I made a new pinhole - and was trying to make sharper images - I don't think that it worked any better but I do like the shots that I got from the shoot! They have a soft painted feel to them - I love how they came out!

You know I was thinking about how most people would remember pinhole cameras from the doing them with old oatmeal boxes.... and it hit me... the oatmeal comes in a canister not a "box" - And I just thought it was funny that we call them oatmeal boxes. =)
