The concept is to have women from the net -- from all over the world - Different lives, cultures, life styles all random people -- who I have never met before in real life model for me. Some will be real models from other countries and some will be your average person that I find online to photograph. I want to use modern technology "skype" to meet and shoot them -- Using the computer camera, a modern form of communication in an unconventional way to create fine art photography. I like a lil sexy, romantic, emotional kinda look and feel... something kinda old looking, timeless and artsy. Images that is moody, tells a story and leaves a little to the imagination....
We live in an Age of Virtually..... Reality.... -- The world is getting smaller.... More and more people are meeting and making friends with people online... building quick casual connections... Some of them are "catfish" and some of them are real "live" people... Yet, even "real live people" are able to "express" or "repress" aspects of ourselves because it is rather the, "virtually us" --It is the aspects, character, or personal that we "reveal" online to others... BUT it is not ALWAYS the truest versions of who we are... We are allowed INTO a persons world/ home, bedrooms, etc. -- In a way that is both intimate and detached at the same time. I believe that this series will express the lifestyles and culture of our time in both imagery and in theory. My goal is to shoot people in their real life environments, from all over the world, capturing who I SEE them as, who they are but they keep private, or who they want to portray themselves as... This is a world wide adventure, connecting people ideas and concepts that we live out in everyday life all the time.
In some situations I will be making connections across simply a city, but in others it is across the country or on the other side of the world. I find the idea of "taking" a picture of a model who is 1/2 a world away from me - totally fascinating! It is truly an "international shot photograph."
